Emergency property maintenance requests are situations that require immediate attention to prevent injury, property damage, or significant disruption to residents’ daily lives. Please only use the emergency maintenance phone number for emergencies, such as those outlined below.
Here’s a list of what typically constitutes emergency property maintenance requests:
Any water leak or flooding that poses an immediate threat to property damage or safety, such as burst pipes, overflowing toilets, or significant roof leaks.
Any fire-related emergencies, including smoke or fire alarms going off, smoke or fire visible within the property, or reports of a fire nearby.
Reports of gas leaks or strong gas odors, which pose a serious risk of fire or explosion.
Electrical problems that present a safety hazard, such as sparking outlets, exposed wires, or complete power failure in parts of the property.
Any situation that compromises the security of the property, such as broken doors or windows, malfunctioning locks, or evidence of forced entry.
Complete failure of heating in cold weather or cooling in hot weather, particularly if it affects vulnerable residents (elderly, young children, individuals with health conditions).
Damage to the building structure that compromises its stability or safety, such as collapsed ceilings, walls, or floors.
Sewage backup into the property, which poses health risks and requires immediate attention to prevent contamination and further damage.
Complete loss of water supply to the property, which affects basic sanitation and residents’ ability to carry out daily activities.
